OPEN POSITIONS:  

CAMPUS PASTOR: Start date: August 12, 2023. Hours: Flexible TBD. 20/30 Hours/Week with benefits based on determined employment status. 10.5 month position with 7 weeks off annually, based on school closure calendar. Starting Hourly range commensurate with education and experience: $22-$32/hour. Reports to Head of School. The MCS Campus Pastor plays a pivotal role in fostering spiritual growth, providing pastoral care, and supporting spiritual formation. This position encompasses responsibilities ranging from leading chapel services to integrating faith based principles into the curriculum and coordinating service outreach initiatives. A bachelors degree in theology, ministry, education or a related field. Ordination or licensure as a Christian minister, pastor, or equivalent credentialing preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in pastoral ministry, preferably with youth and in a Christian school or church setting. 

LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER: Start date: Immediately upon completion of hiring procedures. Daily Rate: $195 per day. Reports to Middle School or Elementary Principal as designated. Mariners Christian School seeks highly qualified long-term elementary and middle school substitute teachers. They are seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive and healhty learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER: Start date: August 26, 2024. Full time with benefits. Salary range: $54,324-$76,654. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, eduucation level, etc. Reports directly to Middle School Principal. This position is seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive and healhty learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish academically, spiritually, emotionally, and developmentally. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER: Start date: August 26, 2024. Full time with benefits. Salary range: $54,324-$76,654. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, eduucation level, etc. Reports directly to Middle School Principal. Mariners Christian School is seeking a highly qualified full time teacher in the area of Science. This position is seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive and healhty learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish academically, spiritually, emotionally, and developmentally. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION RESOURCE TEACHER: Start date: August 2024. Full time with benefits. Traditional contract year. Salary Range: $54,324-$76,654. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates qualifications, prior experience, education, etc. Reports to Middle School Principal. The 6th-8th Special Education Resource Teacher will provide support and specialized individual and small group instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners. In addition, this teacher will idenity individual needs and develop student educational plans to support success, and monitor student progress toward acheiving identified goals. Bachelors Degree, including approporiate coursework in education. Masters preffered. Special education credential and resource specialist certificate (or be eligible for an Emergency Credential or waiver)

FACILITY MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE: Start date: Immediately upon completion of hiring procedures. Full Time. 11 month position (August-June). Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm (40 hours/week). The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc. Reports to Director of Operations. The Facility Maintenance Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day physical operation of the building and grounds, including maintaining the cleanliness and function of the building interior and campus exterior, general resources, fixtures and utilities, supporting resource and activity needs for staff, instruction and special events and overseeing janitorial, landscaping and other environmental needs. Mechanically inclined, proactive, good problem solver with previous experience in custodial/facility support, contracting or service industry preferred. 

ASP (AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM) AIDE: Start date: August 28, 2023. Hours: (various shifts) M-F; 10:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break). Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). Pay Range: $17.16-21.81 per hour.  The job of the After School Program Aide is to work with students in grades TK-8 under the supervision of the After School Program Director. After School Program Aides provide supervision and support to students meeting the needs of the whole child by ministering the love of Christ through a spiritually nurturing environment, high-quality care, and homework help. The ASP Aide will plan and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development. Requirements: Experience working with children in a group setting is strongly preferred, but not required. Necessary qualities: promptness, reliability, team player, servant heart, positive attitude. 

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: Pay Rate: $150 per day for over 4 hours or $75 per day for 4 hours or less. A substitute teacher is utilized on an "as needed" basis with the understanding that he/she manages the assigned classroom with the goal of fulfilling the lesson plans and directives of the regular teacher. Bachelor’s degree required.
