Each employee at Mariners Christian School must meet the following requirements:
- Be able to show evidence of accepting Jesus as his/her personal Savior and be able to articulate a personal relationship with Him, as well as provide evidence of regular church attendance.
- Maintain a lifestyle consistent with the moral standards stated in the Mariners Christian School contract and the Declaration of Moral Integrity.
- Be in agreement with and sign the MCS Statement of Faith.
- Have criminal history clearance expressly for MCS. (Fingerprinting to be arranged at hire.)
ASP (AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM) AIDE: Start date: August 29, 2022. Hours: M-F; 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break). Part-time: 27.5 hours per week. Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). The job of the After School Program Aide is to work with students in grades TK-8 under the supervision of the After School Program Director. After School Program Aides provide supervision and support to students meeting the needs of the whole child by ministering the love of Christ through a spiritually nurturing environment, high-quality care, and homework help. The ASP Aide will plan and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development. Requirements: Experience working with children in a group setting is strongly preferred, but not required. Necessary qualities: promptness, reliability, team player, servant heart, positive attitude.
STAFF ACCOUNTANT: Start date: Immediately upon completion of hiring process. Part time: (20-25 hours per week). Term: 12 month position with 7 weeks off annually, based upon school closure calendar. Schedule: Monday-Friday; flexible schedule TBA between the hours of 7:30am & 3:30pm. Hourly wage; commensurate with education and experience. Reports to Director of finance. General description: The MCS bookkeeper is resposible to support the director of finance and staff accountant.
ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: A substitute teacher is utilized on an "as needed" basis with the understanding that he/she manages the assigned classroom with the goal of fulfilling the lesson plans and directives of the regular teacher. Bachelor’s degree required.
