OPEN POSITIONS:  

ASSISTANT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Start date: Mid-August 2024. Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm. Hourly range: $22-$25. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc. The Assistant After School Program Director supports the Director in managing, organizing, and engaging the After School Program. The essential duties and responsibilities consist of planning, executing, and facilitating weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development. This role is also responsible for preparing materials and equipment, providing homework assistance and academic support for K-8 students and implement weekly plans and events. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION RESOURCE TEACHER: Start date: August 2024. Full time with benefits. Salary Range: $54,324-$76,654. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc. The 6th-8th Special Education Resource Teacher will provide support and specialized individual and small group instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners. In addition, this teacher will identify individual needs, develop student educational plans to support success, and monitor student progress toward achieving identified goals. To ensure a successful school-wide support program, this position collaborates with teachers, administrators, and the Elementary and Middle School Resource Staff to support student success within the classroom environment and consult with constituencies for the purpose of ensuring appropriate delivery of learning and support services. 

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS PE TEACHER / ASSISTANT ATHLETICS DIRECTOR: Start date: 2024-2025 School Year. Full-Time with benefits. Salary Range: $54,324-$70,384. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education, etc. Reports to Elementary and Middle School Principals. The PE Teacher/Assistant Athletic Director is responsible for supporting the Athletic Director (AD) in the supervision of the athletics programs at the middle school level. The Assistant AD works alongside the Director, coaches, and referees to ensure that equipment, safety, and compliance requirements are met. The Assistant AD is responsible to work alongside the Director to ensure that a Christ-honoring environment is maintained by those associated with and who participate in MCS athletics. In addition, the Assistant AD is responsible for teaching physical education classes at the elementary and middle school levels. The position includes the responsibility of supervisory presence in the girls' locker room. 

LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER: Start date: Immediately upon completion of hiring procedures. Daily Rate: $195 per day. Reports to Middle School or Elementary Principal as designated. Mariners Christian School seeks highly qualified long-term elementary and middle school substitute teachers. They are seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive and healthy learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish.  

ASP (AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM) AIDE: Start date: August 28, 2023. Hours: (various shifts) M-F; 10:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break). Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). Pay Range: $17.16-21.81 per hour.  The job of the After School Program Aide is to work with students in grades TK-8 under the supervision of the After School Program Director. After School Program Aides provide supervision and support to students meeting the needs of the whole child by ministering the love of Christ through a spiritually nurturing environment, high-quality care, and homework help. The ASP Aide will plan and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development. Requirements: Experience working with children in a group setting is strongly preferred, but not required. Necessary qualities: promptness, reliability, team player, servant heart, positive attitude. 

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: Pay Rate: $150 per day for over 4 hours or $75 per day for 4 hours or less. A substitute teacher is utilized on an "as needed" basis with the understanding that he/she manages the assigned classroom with the goal of fulfilling the lesson plans and directives of the regular teacher. Bachelor’s degree required.
