OPEN POSITIONS:  

Classroom Aide
Start date: Late August Hours: M-F; 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 pm. (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break)
Full Time with benefits: 37.5 hours per week Starting pay range per hour: $19.85-$23.40. Commensurate with education and experience
Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June)
Reports to: Classroom Teacher and Outdoor Director
General Description: The classroom aide is a support to the Teacher in the classroom and to the Outdoor Director on the playground.
The aide has classroom responsibilities to better meet the needs of the students in the TK, Kindergarten and First Grade programs. The aide has specific playground duties designed to promote the safety and well-being of students at all grade levels. The aide has carpool duties that support the ease of traffic flow into and out of the campus; also facilitating the safety of drivers and students.

ASP Aide
Start date: Late August 2025
Hours: 2:00pm-6:00pm M-F, total of 20 hours per week
Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June)
Starting hourly range commensurate with education and experience: $19.16 - $23.81. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc.
Reports to: After School Program Director
General Description:
The job of the After School Program Aide is to work with students in grades TK-8 under the supervision of the After School Program Director. After School Program Aides provide supervision and support to students meeting the needs of the whole child by ministering the love of Christ through a spiritually nurturing environment, high-quality care, and homework help. The ASP Aide will plan and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development.

General Music Teacher
Contract year: Traditional (Late August through Mid-June)
Job Type: Full-time M-F
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
Starting Range: $57,040-$78,454 annually. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc.
Reports to: Elementary School Principal
Position Summary:
General music teacher will instruct elementary students TK-5th grade in the fundamental principles of music and musicianship skills, such as music theory and basic notation. Ideal lessons will involve a variety of musical responses including singing, moving and playing easily-accessible instruments such as drums, recorders, and hand bells.  The music teacher will direct musical performances throughout the year and work collaboratively with other music instructors to develop a strong musical foundation and understanding for elementary students.  He/She will help recognize musical talent in their students in order to encourage them to undertake further musical studies, such as joining orchestra or band.  The music teacher should be an accomplished musician with a high level of performance proficiency on at least one instrument.

Admissions Assistant
Start date: Immediately upon completion of hiring procedures.
Job type: Part-time (20 hours per week) 
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm (approximately 20 hours per week with additional hours required based on needs of the school.)
FLSA: Non-exempt Hourly
School Year Contract: 10-month position (mid-August through mid-June)
Starting Range: $19-$22 per hour. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc.
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Position Summary: This role supports the overall functions and efforts of Mariners Christian School Admissions ensuring a smooth and positive experience for prospective families. Additionally, the Admissions Coordinator assists in supporting the enrollment and onboarding process for accepted families. Strong experience in administrative, organizational, technical, and relational skills is critical to success in this position and for the organization. The role serves as part of the Admissions team, which is a collaborative team committed to promoting and protecting the MCS mission and core values.

Transitional Kindergarten Elementary School Teacher
Start Date: Late August
Contract year: Traditional School Year (late August through mid-June)
Salary Range: $57,040-$78.454. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc.
Job Type: Full-time regular (80%)
FLSA: Exempt Salaried
Reports to: Elementary Principal
Position Summary: Mariners Christian School is seeking a highly qualified, full time transitional kindergarten teacher as part of a TK-5th grade program.  Teaching position reports directly to the Elementary School Principal and is seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive, healthy, learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish.  School day includes two-thirds day TK program and one-third day planning and staff meeting.

Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Third Grade
Start date: Late August
Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal. No benefits will be offered.
Daily Rate: $195 per day
Reports to: Elementary Principal
Position Summary: Mariners Christian School seeks a highly qualified long-term elementary school substitute teacher. They are seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive, healthy, learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish. Teachers who have fidelity towards multi-tiered systems of support, small group differentiated instruction and workshop instructional framework are strongly encouraged to apply.
