OPEN POSITIONS:
ASP Aide
Start date: Late August 2025
Hours: 2:00pm-6:00pm M-F, total of 20 hours per week
Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June)
Starting hourly range commensurate with education and experience: $19.16 - $23.81. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc.
Reports to: After School Program Director
General Description:
The job of the After School Program Aide is to work with students in grades TK-8 under the supervision of the After School Program Director. After School Program Aides provide supervision and support to students meeting the needs of the whole child by ministering the love of Christ through a spiritually nurturing environment, high-quality care, and homework help. The ASP Aide will plan and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development.
Executive Assistant to the Head of School
Position Type: Full-time (40 hours per week; ½ hour unpaid lunch) 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, with ability to be flexible based on school needs.
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Starting Salary Range: $32.00-$38.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.
FLSA: Non-exempt hourly
Reports to: Head of School
Position Overview: The Executive Assistant to the Head of School holds a critical and highly visible position in supporting the daily operations and overall success of the Head of School’s Office. Acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, this individual manages a broad spectrum of administrative, communication, and project-related responsibilities. The EA plays a key role in enabling the Head of School to lead effectively, ensuring all efforts are aligned with the institution’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is a consummate professional with exceptional organizational and communication skills, emotional intelligence, initiative, and discretion. They must be able to manage multiple tasks seamlessly, anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and represent the Head of School and the school with integrity and grace.
Front Desk Receptionist
Start Date: Upon completion of employment process
Term: 10-month contract (late August through mid-June)
Job Type: Regular Part-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday: 7:30am-11:45am (morning shift); 11:30am-4:00pm (afternoon shift)
FLSA: Non-exempt hourly

General Music Teacher
Contract year: Traditional (Late August through Mid-June)
Job Type: Full-time M-F
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
Starting Range: $57,040-$78,454 annually. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc.
Reports to: Elementary School Principal
Position Summary:
General music teacher will instruct elementary students TK-5th grade in the fundamental principles of music and musicianship skills, such as music theory and basic notation. Ideal lessons will involve a variety of musical responses including singing, moving and playing easily-accessible instruments such as drums, recorders, and hand bells. The music teacher will direct musical performances throughout the year and work collaboratively with other music instructors to develop a strong musical foundation and understanding for elementary students. He/She will help recognize musical talent in their students in order to encourage them to undertake further musical studies, such as joining orchestra or band. The music teacher should be an accomplished musician with a high level of performance proficiency on at least one instrument.
Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Third Grade
Start date: Late August
Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal. No benefits will be offered.
Daily Rate: $195 per day
Reports to: Elementary Principal
Position Summary: Mariners Christian School seeks a highly qualified long-term elementary school substitute teacher. They are seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive, healthy, learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish.
