OPEN POSITIONS:  

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS PE TEACHER / ASSISTANT ATHLETICS DIRECTOR: Start date: 2024-2025 School Year. Full-Time with benefits. Salary Range: $54,324-$70,384. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education, etc. Reports to Elementary and Middle School Principals. The PE Teacher/Assistant Athletic Director is responsible for supporting the Athletic Director (AD) in the supervision of the athletics programs at the middle school level. The Assistant AD works alongside the Director, coaches, and referees to ensure that equipment, safety, and compliance requirements are met. The Assistant AD is responsible to work alongside the Director to ensure that a Christ-honoring environment is maintained by those associated with and who participate in MCS athletics. In addition, the Assistant AD is responsible for teaching physical education classes at the elementary and middle school levels. The position includes the responsibility of supervisory presence in the girls' locker room. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR: Start date: August 1, 2024. 11 Month Contract (August 1 - June 30). Full-Time with benefits. Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education, etc. Reports directly to Head of School. The Middle School Administrator (grades 6-8) will be responsible for demonstrating a successful record of innovative leadership, academic excellence, spiritual leadership, and culture shepherding. The candidate is to be a dynamic and Christian leader and educator with administrative experience. 

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE: Start date: Late August 2024. Part-time; 12 month position with 7 weeks off annually, based on school closure calendar. Starting range: $50-$56 per hour. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, education, etc. Reports directly to Head of School. The Director of Finance is a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and planning of our non-profit school. This position involves strategic and tactical management of both finance and administration, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and non-profit tax compliance. The Director of Finance will work closely with Head of School, Finance Committee, and the Board of Trustees to ensure financial stability, efficiency, and growth. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS INTERVENTION TEACHER: Start Date: August 26, 2024. 30-40 Hours per week. Full Time with benefits. Salary Range: $47,000-$60,000. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidate's qualifications, prior experience, education, etc.. Reports directly to the Middle School Principal. MCS is seeking a credentialed teacher to provide reading intervention and instructional support to the Middle School ELA program. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching students with learning needs in the areas of reading and writing. In accordance with MCS' instructional program, the successful candidate will be able to make data informed decisions to differentiate, implement instruction, provide strategic support to build proficiency, and monitor progress for a wide range of learners. 

CLASSROOM AIDE: Start date: Late August, 2024. Hours: M-F; 7:30am-3:30pm (includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break). Full Time with benefits: 37.5 hours per week. Starting pay range per hour: $17.16-$21.81 commensurate with education and experience. Reports directly to Classroom Teacher and Outdoor Director. The classroom aide is a support to the Teacher in the classroom and to the Outdoor Director on the playground. The aide has classroom responsibilities to better meet the needs of the students in the TK, Kindergarten and First Grade programs. The aide has specific playground duties designed to promote the safety and well-being of students at grade levels. The aide has carpool duties that support the ease of traffic flow into and out of the campus; also facilitating the safety of drivers and students. 

CAMPUS PASTOR: Start date: August 12, 2024. Hours: Flexible TBD. 20/30 Hours/Week with benefits based on determined employment status. 10.5 month position with 7 weeks off annually, based on school closure calendar. Starting Hourly range commensurate with education and experience: $22-$32/hour. Reports to Head of School. The MCS Campus Pastor plays a pivotal role in fostering spiritual growth, providing pastoral care, and supporting spiritual formation. This position encompasses responsibilities ranging from leading chapel services to integrating faith based principles into the curriculum and coordinating service outreach initiatives. A bachelors degree in theology, ministry, education or a related field. Ordination or licensure as a Christian minister, pastor, or equivalent credentialing preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in pastoral ministry, preferably with youth and in a Christian school or church setting. 

LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER: Start date: Immediately upon completion of hiring procedures. Daily Rate: $195 per day. Reports to Middle School or Elementary Principal as designated. Mariners Christian School seeks highly qualified long-term elementary and middle school substitute teachers. They are seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive and healhty learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER: Start date: August 26, 2024. Full time with benefits. Salary range: $54,324-$76,654. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates' qualifications, prior experience, eduucation level, etc. Reports directly to Middle School Principal. This position is seen as a vital role in maintaining a positive and healhty learning and teaching environment in which students can flourish academically, spiritually, emotionally, and developmentally. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION RESOURCE TEACHER: Start date: August 2024. Full time with benefits. Traditional contract year. Salary Range: $54,324-$76,654. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates qualifications, prior experience, education, etc. Reports to Middle School Principal. The 6th-8th Special Education Resource Teacher will provide support and specialized individual and small group instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners. In addition, this teacher will idenity individual needs and develop student educational plans to support success, and monitor student progress toward acheiving identified goals. Bachelors Degree, including approporiate coursework in education. Masters preffered. Special education credential and resource specialist certificate (or be eligible for an Emergency Credential or waiver)

ASP (AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM) AIDE: Start date: August 28, 2023. Hours: (various shifts) M-F; 10:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch break). Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). Pay Range: $17.16-21.81 per hour.  The job of the After School Program Aide is to work with students in grades TK-8 under the supervision of the After School Program Director. After School Program Aides provide supervision and support to students meeting the needs of the whole child by ministering the love of Christ through a spiritually nurturing environment, high-quality care, and homework help. The ASP Aide will plan and facilitate weekly interactive and engaging activities that are fun and beneficial for social, spiritual, and academic development. Requirements: Experience working with children in a group setting is strongly preferred, but not required. Necessary qualities: promptness, reliability, team player, servant heart, positive attitude. 

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: Pay Rate: $150 per day for over 4 hours or $75 per day for 4 hours or less. A substitute teacher is utilized on an "as needed" basis with the understanding that he/she manages the assigned classroom with the goal of fulfilling the lesson plans and directives of the regular teacher. Bachelor’s degree required.
