Interim Elementary School Principal
Dear Elementary Families,
I am overjoyed to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! This year is full of promise and opportunity and we are filled with excitement at being able to partner with you in your child’s education. The start of each school year brings the chance to set new goals and have a fresh start. This school year our theme is Reflect the Son, and a part of our goal-setting will be creating a culture that values and validates Christ-like words and actions that truly Reflect the Son. Walking like LIONS in our classrooms as well as in our extended community as we build upon our LIONS Pact is some of the work we will expand upon. At MCS we are eager to begin digging deep into God’s Word so that we can fully explore what it means in 2 Corinthians 3:18b when it says, “…the Lord – who is the Spirit – will make us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.” It is a great privilege and an immense responsibility to be raising the next generation of young people to Reflect the Son and it is a true blessing to be partnering with your families as we do so.
The elementary staff is excited to begin this school year. We have been praying together as an elementary team and God has been preparing our hearts to be doing His work this year. We are placing great emphasis on supporting students and ensuring that every student will have exactly what is needed to be successful and to thrive in elementary school. We have hired personnel to support this purpose and faculty training has been designed to equip our team to work together to provide optimal support to the students entrusted to our care this school year.
The elementary team is committed to fostering student growth academically, socially, and spiritually. As we make intentional decisions about our programs and our daily activities we keep the core values of MCS in mind.
It is abundantly clear that God has big plans for this school year. I am praying that you will wholeheartedly embrace the excitement and join us on the journey that God has for us this year. Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” I have been praying, and I am confident that God is ready to keep His promise and do immeasurably more than we could ever imagine.
Reflecting the Son,
Brandy Sick
Elementary Principal
